Musicians having different musical background formed a hibrid band in which a complete jazz-combo band plays together with a string band, accompanied with wood-wind musicians. As opposed to rousing big- band- sounding grooved in jazz, they made up a totally new slightly tinged sounding with this exciting composition.

The band has been a party to home concert life, they have played on most famous festivals and they won the main prize of Budapest Fringe Festival in 2006. The composer and art director of the band is János Nagy, one of the outstanding figures of Hungarian jazz life.

Their first CD was published in the spring of 2006, with the title „Pop Music”. Besides the title song you can also listen to János Nagy’s compositons on the album. Among other goals, FSCO aims to transmit contemporary music so as it vould pe part of our every-day life. Impromptus get an essential role at the concerts, through which FSCO also aims toprovide new meaning to the term of „chamber music concerts”.
